The Pasta Shoppe - Our Story

Welcome to The Pasta Shoppe! We are John and Carey Aron and we're all about family, friends and food. Our business is family run and home based in Nashville, Tennessee, but our pasta adventure began in 1992 during our honeymoon to Italy. We fell in love with pasta and the Italian lifestyle, and knew someday we wanted to recreate a piece of Italy back home.

In 1994, we traveled back to Italy to understand exactly what it took to make the highest-quality and best-tasting pasta around. Then we added the fun part: hand-crafted bronze dies to create more than 250 different pasta shapes! From cat paws to Christmas trees to college logos, we've got a fun pasta shape for everyone.

The Pasta Shoppe is in love with creating small batches of quality pasta – no mass production. Our plant is similar to the 'boutique' manufacturing plants found in Italy, home of perfect pasta. That's why we buy all our pasta-making machines from Italy and fill them with only the finest ingredients available – 100% durum semolina flour and all-natural vegetable powders.

At The Pasta Shoppe, we're constantly using our noodle, and our latest love is a delicate specialty product we call Petite Pasta Nests. The manufacturing process is labor intensive, but the result is delicious! Tender sheets of homemade pasta are fed into a specialized cutter, creating light and fluffy noodles, which we then nestle into beautiful angel hair nests. When cooked, the texture and taste is similar to fresh pasta. Heavenly!

We're all about savory, but our sweet tooth speaks to us, too. We listened when it said, 'meringues!' Our Divine Meringues are crunchy yet creamy because we cook them low and slow. They also hold sweet surprises, like white chocolate and chocolate chips! Mmm. You'll want to pop meringue after meringue into your mouth and that's okay – each cookie has just 7 calories.

We're so glad you stopped by The Pasta Shoppe for a visit, and hope you do often. We'll leave you with this thought and our motto: "The World is full of Pastabilites!"®
